SUMMER SETS MADE EASY

It is pajamas? Is it day wear? First of all, why the personal prying questions? Let’s just accept the summer set trend for what it is. A blessing. In the words of the Egyptian Queen from the sacred classic The Prince of Eygpt “When the gods send you a blessing. You don't ask why it was sent.”

If I learned any fashion rules from my time as an international runway model it’s that there are no rules. Don’t wear white past Labor Day? Fake. Don’t mix metals? Stupid. Don’t wear certain colors together? Made up. Don’t wear clothes that look like PJs? Ludacris. If there is any rule the only rule of fashion is you can wear whatever you want to wear as long as you wear it with confidence.

In my personal experience I can wear something a hundred times more confidently if I am comfortable. Mostly because if I’m comfortable I’m not thinking about or fidgeting with my clothes constantly. I want to put on clothes in the morning that I feel great in so I can forget about them until I get ready for bed. Yes, there is a time and a place for fancier attire that might be a little less comfy, but my day to day is filled with things to think about that are far more important than what I’m wearing.

Between normal life, our world falling apart, and trying to keep up with Stanley cup restocks, life is too complicated to spend too much time worrying about what you’re going to wear. Throwing on a set with a cute pair of sneaks makes getting ready a breeze. If you happen to go to a family party later on and your uncle cracks a joke about what you’re wearing, you’ll sleep easy knowing that a man who thinks Trump is an icon doesn’t agree with your style. Sleep soundly, my queen.
